Black Therapist Connect Membership Community (In-Person and Online)

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Black Therapist Connect (the “Community”) operated by Clarity Counseling and Wellness (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By joining and participating in the Community—whether in-person or online—you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

Participants must be:

  • Licensed or certified mental health professionals or in training toward such licensure

  • Committed to ethical, respectful engagement with fellow members

We reserve the right to approve or deny membership at our sole discretion.

2. Code of Conduct

All members agree to:

  • Maintain confidentiality of any shared personal/professional experiences of others

  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior

  • Respect differing views and professional boundaries

  • Follow applicable professional ethics (e.g., APA, ACA, or relevant regulatory body)

Violation of these rules may result in removal from the Community without refund.

3. Payment and Membership Fees

Membership fees are billed on a monthly basis and must be paid in advance. All payments are non-refundable, regardless of participation or early termination by the member.

You may cancel your membership at any time. However, to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel at least seven (7) days prior to your next scheduled billing date. Cancellations made within seven days of the next billing cycle will take effect after the current billing period ends.

It is your responsibility to manage your subscription and billing preferences through your account settings or by contacting varayna@claritycounselingwellness.com.

4. Event Participation (In-Person and Online)

Members may attend events, workshops, or meetings hosted as part of the Community. We may adjust the format, timing, or structure of these events at any time.

COVID-19 and Health Safety (for in-person): By attending in-person events, members assume all health risks and agree to follow safety guidelines in place at the time.

5. Media Release and Promotional Use

By participating in Community activities (in-person or online), you consent to the following:

Media Release: You grant Black Therapist Connect, its representatives, and affiliated third parties the right to photograph, video record, or otherwise capture your likeness during events or sessions. You authorize the use of such materials for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes, in any medium, without compensation or further approval.

You may request not to be included in identifiable media by contacting us at varayna@claritycounselingwellness.com prior to or during any event.

6. Intellectual Property

All materials shared by us (workbooks, recordings, slides, etc.) are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written consent.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

We strive to maintain a secure environment, but cannot guarantee confidentiality in online platforms or group settings. Do not share sensitive client or personal information that would violate ethical or legal guidelines.

8. Disclaimer

  • The Community is for professional development and networking purposes only.

  • It does not constitute clinical supervision, therapy, or legal/medical advice.

  • Members are responsible for their own clinical decisions and professional conduct.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Any damages arising from participation or inability to participate in the Community

  • Loss of data or materials

  • Misuse of shared content by other members

10. Amendments

We may update these Terms at any time. Notice of material changes will be provided via email or posted in the online platform.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for and participating in the Black Therapist Connect Membership Community—whether in-person or online—you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This agreement is effective upon your enrollment and remains in effect for the duration of your membership.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not enroll in or participate in the Community.
